Toyota has launched the facelifted 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta starting from ₹16.26 lakhs. The Toyota Innova has been India’s leading 7-seater MUV since its launch in 2005. The Toyota Innova Crysta brought a complete overhaul in 2016, with the exterior design and interior space receiving major changes that have helped the Toyota Innova become a more premium offering in India.

The facelift redesigns for the Toyota Innova Crysta are intended to keep the 7-seater MUV competitive against new rivals like the Kia Carnival and the MG Hector Plus. Bookings for the MUV have begun at Toyota dealerships. The ex-showroom price for the 2020 Toyota Innova Crysta is now priced ₹60,000-70,000 higher than the outgoing model, which started from ₹15.3 lakhs.

The facelift brings a redesigned front end with a new front grille and a sportier front bumper. On the interior, leather seats have been included in the higher variants of the Toyota Innova facelift. The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system has also been upgraded with better touch response and easier navigation.

Mechanically, Toyota doesn’t seem to be keen on breaking what works. The Toyota Innova Crysta facelift will feature the same 2.7-litre petrol and 2.4-litre diesel engine options with manual and automatic transmission options. Dual front airbags and a driver’s knee airbag are standard across the range while the top-variant gets a total of 7 airbags. Other standard safety features include ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Control and Hill Start Assist Control.

Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift Specifications

  • BS6-compliant 2.7-litre petrol engine producing 163 bhp and 245 Nm torque
  • BS6-compliant 2.4-litre diesel engine producing 147 bhp and 343-363 Nm torque
