The British carmaker MG Motors has launched the facelifted MG Hector and MG Hector Plus at the ongoing Auto Expo 2023. The facelifted Hector has been priced from Rs 14.73 lakh while the 6 & 7-seater Hector Plus has been launched starting at Rs 17.5 lakh. Both new MG SUVs sport the same design and are equipped with the same engines as the outgoing models. In India, the Hector siblings have always been praised for their segment-leading cutting-edge features that make them stand out from the rest. While the arrival of competitors like the Mahindra XUV700, Scorpio-N and Tata Harrier has toughened the competition for MG Hector and Hector Plus, the new British SUVs aim to reclaim their territory with refreshed looks and even more tech on offer. Here’s all that the new MG Hector and new MG Hector Plus have to offer.

2023 MG Hector and MG Hector Plus Facelifts: Exterior
The most attractive upgrade is the large, imposing grille, where the diamond pattern starts with large diamonds on the top that neatly transform into much smaller units towards the bottom. The front end retains the split headlamps set-up with the upper half housing the LED Daytime Running Lamps. The side profile remains the same as the outgoing models, with even the alloy wheel design being the same.
At the rear end, there are sleek tail lamps connected by inclined LED inserts, making somewhat of a long light bar. The ‘Hector’ badging has been repositioned and placed above the registration plate, with the rear bumper also being restyled with new angular creases.
2023 MG Hector and MG Hector Plus facelifts: Interior
The most appealing part of the interiors is the new portrait-style 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system – the largest in India so far. With a full-HD screen, the touchscreen continues to monitor multiple functions such as the panoramic sunroof, interior, and exterior lamp settings, ambient lighting, lock settings, tailgate open-close, and even features like wireless phone charging and tire pressure monitor system. Some more interior changes include a revised dashboard, featuring a double-layered design with horizontally positioned D-shaped AC vents and a redesigned centre console with a new stack of physical buttons.
The new MG Hector and MG Hector Plus also feature the MG Assistant feature, which debuted in the Astor SUV and gives voice commands for multiple functions, including closing and opening the sunroof, adjusting the temperature, changing ambient light shades, and more. Moreover, the refreshed feature list also includes a 360-degree camera which can also be switched to 3D mode.
Just like the Gloster, Astor, and ZS EV, the 2023 MG Hector and MG Hector Plus facelifts feature level-2 ADAS technology that consists of adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, autonomous emergency bracing, and pedestrian detection. Moreover, the ADAS suite also includes bend cruise assistance, which adjusts the vehicle’s speed when the SUV encounters a curve on the road with cruise control activated. The new Hector and Hector Plus also feature Traffic Jam Assist, which helps the SUV easily manoeuvre through slow-moving traffic ahead.
