Land Rover has launched its 2025 Defender line up in India, featuring upgraded powertrains, selected trims and enhanced features, and more. The Updated model brings back the mighty V8 engine and is priced starting at Rs.1.39 Crore (Ex-Showroom). Like the outgoing model, even the new Defender is available in three body styles: 90, 110 and 130. The Defender V8 is powered by a robust 5.0-litre V8 engine, delivering 419 PS and 610 Nm of peak torque which can be considered as a notable decrease of 98 PS from the previous model, which boasted 517 PS. Alongside this, there are two other engine options: a 251 PS 3.0-litre diesel and a 296 PS 2.0-litre petrol variant, offering a range of powertrains to suit different driving preferences. The Defender also gets a 2.0-litre petrol engine that’s available only in the 110 body style in X-Dynamic HSE trim. There’s also an Octa variant that boasts a top-end, 4.4-litre, V8 petrol engine producing a staggering 626 PS and 750 Nm of torque.
