Toyota Land Cruiser 250 Prado
The Land Cruiser Prado was revealed globally in 2023, and is now finally set to make its India Debut at the Auto Expo 2025. Despite being an entry-level to the Land Cruiser brand, the car looks big and bold, perfectly capturing the essence of the Land Cruiser. The Prado is positioned below the Land Cruiser 300 and is not as big either, but that definitely does not diminish its road presence. The front has rectangular elements that go well with the boxy silhouette of the SUV, with big chunky wheels and squared-off elements at the rear. The interiors feature two screens measuring 12.3 inch each, a heavy-duty steering wheel and a spacious centre console. The sunroof is just the cherry on top for this heavy-duty off-roading vehicle. The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado offers multiple powertrains, including 2.4L turbo-petrol hybrid, 2.4L turbo-petrol, 2.8L diesel mild hybrid, 2.8L diesel, and 2.7L petrol. Power ranges from 163 PS/246 Nm to 330 PS/630 Nm. The India model is likely to get the 2.8L diesel or diesel mild hybrid. The Land Cruiser Prado is likely to be priced around Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom) and will take on rivals like the Range Rover Velar, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Audi Q5.
Lexus LF-ZC
The LF-ZC is definitely going to be India’s most futuristic looking sedan. This BEV concept was showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 and gives a good idea of the direction of the carmaker’s future. The LF-ZC, short for Lexus Future Zero-emission Catalyst, will feature high-performance prismatic batteries, offering double the range of typical electric vehicles. The production is set to begin in 2026. Coming to the design of the car, it has a low-slung body which is aimed to increase the aerodynamics of the vehicle. The spindle body-design is consistent from the front to the rear. The interiors are sure to get advanced technology and are said to come equipped with the Arene OS interactive reality experience platform with AI-next generation voice recognition. All these features are sure to excite Indian auto enthusiasts.
Lexus ROV
If you have ever watched the Mad Max movies then this Lexus car is definitely going to catch your eye. The ROV is a funky-looking off-roading vehicle with an extraordinary powertrain. ROV stands for Recreational Off-highway Vehicle and it comes equipped with a 1.0 litre Hydrogen engine with the promise of zero emissions. The front and rear have the iconic Lexus design and have so far been showcased in the dark bronze colour. The interiors are loosely based on the Tazuna concept with a single-piece instrument cluster and an open cockpit. Overall the ROV is meant for some serious off-roading. It gets multiple elements showcasing its off-roading capabilities featuring a protective cage, exposed suspension, and off-road tires. Its front fenders are designed to shield against rocks and mud.
