After unveiling the Cyberster, MG Motors has announced the MG M9 luxury limousine which will debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 and is set to launch in India in March. The M9 will be the second premium all-electric vehicle, after the Cyberster and will be showcased exclusively at the MG Select outlets. The M9 has been designed to cater to people that prefer a luxury MUV with cutting-edge technology and premium comfort. Here are the highlights

MG M9 Exterior
The M9 has the classic boxy MUV exterior but with a modern touch which makes it unique in the segment. The fascia gets an upright nose with a blanked-off trapezoidal grille and vertically stacked headlights topped-up with eyebrow-like DRL’s. The profile of the car is minimal, giving it a polished look highlighted by chrome accents below the windows running all the way to the rear window in a Z-shape. The bottom also gets chrome cladding riding on big dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear is flat and features sleek LED lights that wrap around the profile giving it a sharp look.
MG M9 Interior
Stepping inside the M9, the interiors are spacious and the three-row seats are positioned perfectly complimenting the interiors of the car. The India-spec has a beige and tan theme which is different from the global model. The rest of the interior is mostly going to follow the same design as the global model with a floating touch-screen infotainment system, two-spoke steering wheel mounted with controls and a long horizontal AC vent running across the length of the dashboard. The second row is the main highlight with Ottoman reclining seats with eight different massage functions. The second row gets its own set of touch screens and dedicated hand-rails and AC vents. The interiors also have 64-colour ambient lighting that runs along the dual pane sunroof as well as the door panels. The legroom is unmatched and overall the MPV ensures maximum passenger comfort.
The M9 will also have interesting features like three-zone climate control, 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, rain-sensing wipers, 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, 360-degree camera and Level-2 ADAS, similar to the global spec model.
MG M9 Powertrain
The powertrain details for the M9 haven’t been disclosed yet. However, the India-spec is likely to get the global spec 90 kWh battery pack powering a single electric motor that delivers 245 PS and 350 Nm of torque to the front wheels. This powerful battery can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 9.9 seconds and gets a combined WLTP claimed range of 430 kms in a single full-charge.
MG M9 Pricing and Competitors
The MG M9 will be on display at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. It is expected to be priced around Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom). The M9 aims to target customers who are looking for an alternative for the diesel-powered Kia Carnival or the significantly higher priced Vellfire. Other than these two and the Kia EV9 SUV the M9 remains unrivaled in the electric luxury MPV segment.
