The most popular foreign car brand in India, Hyundai has displayed a few cars at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. In addition to launching the much-awaited Hyundai Creta Electric, the Korean carmaker is exhibiting a couple of their popular cars sold overseas: the Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Hyundai Staria. Here is a closer look at the Hyundai Cars showcased at the Auto Expo 2025.
Hyundai Creta Electric

The Auto Expo 2025 saw the launch of the Hyundai Creta Electric at the price of Rs 17.99 – 23.50 lakh (ex-showroom). As the all-electric version of the standard ICE-powered Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Creta Electric shares the overall design with it, but has some EV-specific elements such as the sealed-off grille and air dam and pixel-like elements on the front bumper, which are reminiscent of the Hyundai Ioniq models. Like the exterior, the Hyundai Creta Electric shares most of its interior with the standard Hyundai Creta, and the same is the case with features. The Hyundai Creta offers two 10.25-inch screens – one for the infotainment and the other for the driver display, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, dual-zone AC, an auto-dimming IRVM, ventilated seats, wireless phone charger, panoramic sunroof, and more. For safety equipment, the Creta Electric offers a Level 2 ADAS suite, six airbags, 360-degree cameras, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, hill-start and descent assist, and more. The Hyundai Creta Electric is powered by 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery packs, offering claimed ranges of 390 km and 473 km respectively.
Hyundai Ioniq 9

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 is the flagship EV of the Korean carmaker and has been exhibited at the Auto Expo 2025. This three-row 6- & 7-seater electric SUV belongs to Hyundai’s born-electric family, which also houses the Hyundai Ioniq 6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5. With a 5,050 mm length and 3,130 mm wheelbase, the Hyundai Ioniq 9 is Hyundai’s largest electric SUV and gives the impression of a huge luxury electric SUV. Like typical EVs, it gets a closed-off grille, while there is a full-width LED DRL strip, and vertically stacked headlights with pixel-like elements, which Hyundai calls Parametric Pixels. On the inside, the Ioniq 9 offers 6- & 7-seater layouts. The first two rows of the Ioniq 9 have a massage function, and the second row can swivel to face the third row when the car is not moving. Both the front and second-row seats are ventilated, powered, and have a massage function. In the 6-seater version, the middle-row seats can swivel to face the third-row seats when the SUV is stationary. In terms of features, the Hyundai Ioniq 9 offers two 12.3-inch screens – one for the infotainment and the other for the driver display, a panoramic sunroof, a 14-speaker Bose sound system, wireless charger, and more. For safety equipment, the Hyundai Ioniq 9 features up to 10 airbags, a Level-2 ADAS safety suite, a 360-degree camera, and more. Powered by a 110.3 kWh battery pack, the Hyundai Ioniq 9 is available in two variants: Long Range & Performance, and can deliver a range of up to 620 km.
Hyundai Staria

The 5-door premium MUV from the Korean carmaker, Hyundai Staria is sold overseas and is exhibited at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Available in 7, 9, and 11-seater layouts, the Hyundai Staria is 5,253mm long, 1,970 mm wide, 2,000 mm tall for the Cargo variant (2-seater), and 1,990mm tall for passenger variants (up to 11-seater). Much like the Kia Carnival, the Hyundai Staria is loaded with many upmarket features like ventilated front seats, swivel-able middle seats to create a lounge-like space, a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen, a push-button gear selector, a digital driver display, 64-colour ambient lighting, a Bose sound system, and more. For passenger safety, the Hyundai Staria offers up to 7 airbags, Level-2 ADAS safety features, and more. Globally, the Hyundai Staria offers two engine options: a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine and a 3.5-litre petrol engine. Both engines get an 8-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel engine also gets a 6-speed manual gearbox. While Hyundai is yet to confirm the launch of the Hyundai Staria MUV in the Indian market, if they launch it, it is expected to be priced over the Rs 65 lakh mark (ex-showroom).
