Tata Tigor
Bagging the second spot is the Tata Tigor. As a dynamic compact sedan, the Tata Tigor offers sporty looks, premium features, spacious interiors and impeccable safety. No wonder the car is the second best-selling compact sedan in India.
Managing to sell over 44,680 units in 2022, the Tata Tigor did great in carrying forward the brand’s identity. In terms of monthly sales, the Tigor held its second-best-seller spot in February, March, May, June, July and November, with July also being the compact sedan’s best month, where it sold over 5400 units
Hyundai Aura
For the Hyundai Aura, 2022 was another great year. Taking up the third spot, the Hyundai Aura, with its modern looks, ample features, impressive powertrain and spacious interiors, managed to sell over 42,920 units in 2022.
In terms of monthly sales, the Hyundai Aura retained the second position on the chart in August and September, with August also being the best month for the compact sedan, where it sold over 4300 units.
Honda Amaze

Honda City
The queen of the C-segment sedan category, the Honda City, now in its 5th generation, carries a legacy of over two decades. Thanks to its impeccable powertrain, luxurious cabin, ample safety and sheer comfort, the Honda City is the best-selling C-segment sedan of 2022 and one of the few cars in India to offer a BS6 diesel engine and even a strong hybrid.
Managing to sell over 35,209 units, the Honda City impressed many. In monthly sales, the sedan bagged the top spot in its segment every month except for April. January was the best month for the sedan, where it sold over 3900 units.
Skoda Slavia
Launched in March 2022, the Skoda Slavia took over the C-Segment sedan segment by storm, quickly becoming the 6th best-selling sedan and second best-selling C-Segment sedan of 2022. Owing its success to Skoda’s superb styling, premium features, maximum comfort and luxurious approach, the Slavia sold more than 20,360 units in 2022.
In terms of monthly sales, the sedan held the top-selling spot in March and the second-best-selling spot from April to July 2022. The best month for the sedan was June when it sold over 2700 units.
Hyundai Verna

Managing to sell over 17,700 units, the Hyundai Verna emerged as the second best-seller in the C-Segment category in October and November 2022. With over 2100 units sold, the festive month of October was indeed the best for the Verna.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
The premium C-segment sedan from the NEXA lineup, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz comes forth as a feature-rich, spacious, practical and luxurious sedan. The first preference of hard-core Maruti lovers, the efficiency of the Ciaz is one of its strongest suits.
Managing to sell over 15,776 units in 2022, the Ciaz was the second best-selling C-Segment sedan in January and February 2022. And with over 1900 units sold, January was the best month for the sedan.
Volkswagen Virtus
