German car manufacturer BMW is expected to globally launch the facelifted BMW X5 in April 2023, reports indicated on Monday. The current model has been in the market since 2018 without any changes.
BMW X5 is a popular vehicle, selling more than 200,000 units around the world since its launch.
The facelift version will most likely come with a S68 engine, replacing the current N63 engine which has been in the market since 2008. The new engine is expected to perform better than its previous versions churning better power and refined performance.
The new engine will have a hybrid touch and is likely to be a twin-turbo V8 engine. It will have 535 hp which is more than the current N63 523hp and max torque of 750 Nm.
The B57 engine is also likely to be upgraded. Some changes such as an upgraded turbocharged straight-six B58 engine with max 370hp will also be included.
The exterior and interior will also receive a matching upgrade. Longer and sleeker headlamps will be provided, distinguishing it from the current model. Grille will be slightly wider and the cabin will also include many changes including a digital overhaul.
