Jeep India has begun taking bookings at the dealer level for the upcoming Jeep Compass Trailhawk 4×4 SUV. The new Jeep SUV is expected to launch in March and looks to bolster Jeep’s launches in India, with the Jeep Meridian expected to arrive in the summer.
The Jeep Compass received a mild facelift and interior redesign in 2021. What was missing from the facelift launch was the Compass 4×4 Trailhawk variant. The Compass Trailhawk has been the off-road focused 4×4 variant of the Compass and was a popular model for 4×4 enthusiasts looking for a more premium off-roading experience. Here’s what you can expect from the new 4×4 SUV.
Updated Exteriors
The new Compass Trailhawk will be based on the Compass facelift that was launched last year. This includes a new seven-slat front grille, sleeker headlamps, and updated front bumper. The Trailhawk variant will receive unique colour schemes as well trail-rated badges to distinguish it from the standard Compass.
Refreshed Interiors
The interiors and feature list will be based on the Jeep Compass Model S variant. Features like 8-way power-adjustable driver and front passenger seats, ventilated seats, and Trailhawk specific upholstery will be on offer. The 10.1-inch touchscreen will also come as standard on the Trailhawk along with two-zone climate control, and a 360-degree camera.
Trailhawk 4×4 Off-Roading Capability
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is desired for its tuned off-roading capability. While the Model S and Longitude variants of the Compass are equipped with 4×4 systems, the Trailhawk takes it to another level. The suspension is tuned for off-road ability as well as the Selec-Trac terrain mode that customizes the car’s characteristics to handle snow, mud, sand, and rocky terrains. The approach and departure angles will also be improved over the standard Compass variants.
