Citroen Basalt was released earlier in August at a competitive starting price of Rs. 7.99 Lakh (ex-showroom). The Citroen Basalt offers buyers a stylish coupe-SUV design at a competitive price without compromising on safety. Recently, the 2024 Basalt underwent rigorous crash tests conducted by the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP) and achieved a 4-star rating. It is the first SUV in its segment to score full points in Side Crash Protection during Adult Occupant Protection (AOP). Let’s explore more about this score.

Though the individual test scores were not perfect, the Basalt did score full in the side moveable deformable barrier test (16 out of 16) and the child restraint barrier test (12 out of 12). These scores are indicative of the fact that the Basalt comes with all the necessary safety features right from the base variant itself!
