Honda Amaze and Maruti Suzuki Dzire are two of the most popular compact sedans in India. Both cars are respected in the segment with each having some trait that the other lacks. While the Maruti Dzire is revered for its mileage and economy, the Honda Amaze offers a more premium experience and a smooth engine. We walk through how the two cars stand against each other and compare them on the basis of several parameters such as price, specifications, performance, mileage, design, and safety. We will also look at some of the pros and cons of each car to help you make an informed decision.

Both cars are suitable for long-distance driving as well as urban commuting, but the Amaze is better if you have a heavy foot, despite the fact that the Maruti Suzuki Dzire edges out the Honda Amaze when it comes to torque.

When compared, the Amaze has a smoother automatic transmission than the Dzire. It comes with a smooth and seamless CVT gearbox as opposed to the Dzire’s conventional 5 speed AMT which can be slightly slower. The 5-speed manual gearboxes in both compact sedans are comparable to each other and it comes down to individual preference when choosing between the two. In terms of fuel efficiency, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is more economical than the Honda Amaze, which isn’t surprising considering Maruti’s reputation for mileage.

The front and rear seats are comfortable, and there is ample legroom and headroom for passengers. The quality of materials used in the cabin is good, and the fit and finish are above average. Furthermore, the suspension setup in the Amaze is one of the best in segment, and it glides over all the bad roads.
