Jeep India has updated the Jeep Compass Trailhawk 4×4 SUV and launched the SUV at Rs. 30.72 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted Compass Trailhawk is based on the Jeep Compass Model S and features off-road focused exterior and mechanical changes.

New Changes
Exterior
While the new Compass Trailhawk features the updated grille and headlights of the standard Compass facelift, the front bumper has received a shar cut to improve approach angles. Additionally, the ride height of the Compass Trailhawk has also been increased to 205mm to improve departure angles at the rear. Speaking of the rear, the prominent Trailhawk badge and red toe hook are the only changes.
The Compass Trailhawk features smaller 17-inch alloy wheels, compared to the 18-inch wheels on the Compass Model S. This is to aid Trailhawk’s off-roading abilities on hard surfaces. There are also “Trail Rated 4×4” badges on the side fenders as well as a black and red accent hood to distinguish the new 4×4 SUV from the standard Compass.
Interior
The new dashboard introduced in last year’s facelift now makes its appearance on the Jeep Compass Trailhawk. This features a new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display as well as an all-digital 10.25-inch MID cluster. The new Trailhawk also gets front ventilated seats and powered seats to add more comfort and convenience for off-road driving.
Off-roading Capability
The Compass Trailhawk is purpose built for off-roading on difficult terrain. In addition to the 205mm ground clearance, the Trailhawk boasts of an approach angle of 30 degrees, a ramp break over of 24 degrees, and a departure angle of 34 degrees. The Trailhawk also has a water wading depth of 483mm, which will make most flooded roads seem trivial to cross.
Jeep Compass Trailhawk Price & Rivals
The new Jeep Compass Trailhawk has been launched at Rs. 30.72 lakh (ex-showroom). At its price, the Compass Trailhawk is in a league of its own. It competes with the base variant of the Toyota Fortuner and the Citroen C5 Aircross. Both these cars, however, lack the 4×4 capabilities of the Compass Trailhawk.

The Jeep Compass has proven to be an immensely popular 5-seater SUV, thanks to its feature offerings and 4×4 capabilities. What makes this SUV even more attractive is the prices of used Jeep Compass cars, which start from as low as Rs. 14.9 lakh. More importantly, used Jeep Compass 4×4 variants are also available starting at Rs. 16.5 lakh.
