Hyundai is gearing up to launch the facelift for the Hyundai Alcazar three-row SUV on September 9th, 2024. Since its introduction in 2021, the Alcazar, which is based on the popular Creta, has seen considerable success, with a total of 102,682 units sold to date. Of these, 75,506 units were sold in the domestic Indian market, while 27,176 units were exported globally.

The upcoming facelift promises significant upgrades both inside and out, enhancing the Alcazar’s appeal in a highly competitive segment. With these updates, the SUV will continue to stand strong against rivals like the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700. The refreshed Alcazar is expected to offer a more premium experience, further solidifying its position in the market. Let’s discuss the features:

  • The Alcazar’s exterior will feature a sleek new front grille along with DRL Headlights.
  • The rear profile will also feature updates, including redesigned H-shaped taillights, a refreshed tailgate, and a revised bumper.
  • The profile will see minimal changes, with the addition of new alloy wheels being the most notable update to give the model a refreshed appearance.
  • Some noteworthy features in the interior will be 64-colour ambient lighting, air purifier, 10.25-inch infotainment screen and a Bose sound system.

New Exterior Updates

By the information gained through spy shots, it can be determined that the major changes in the new Alcazar will mainly revolve around the fascia of the car. The upcoming Alcazar is set to incorporate design elements from the recently updated Creta. It will feature a sleek new square-shaped front grille, along with puddle lamps that project the Hyundai logo. The SUV will also showcase a unique split headlight configuration with twin-pod LED units. The back of the car will feature H-shaped taillights and a completely updated design.

In other news, the Alcazar is set to introduce new color options, including a rich maroon-red shade that was spotted on a test model. While the front design and color choices will see updates, the side profile will largely remain unchanged, except for the wheels. The SUV is expected to receive a stylish upgrade with newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels, adding an extra layer of sophistication to the three-row vehicle.

New Interior Updates

While we haven’t seen the inside of the new Alcazar yet, it’s expected to maintain the same layout as the recently refreshed Creta. The cabin will likely feature a dual-screen setup, with two 10.25-inch displays handling infotainment and instrumentation. The Alcazar is expected to offer both six- and seven-seat options, with the six-seater version including captain seats in the middle row for added comfort. Key features will probably include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, and electrically adjustable driver seats.

The most significant update in the new Alcazar is going to be the inclusion of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which may offer features such as forward collision-avoidance assist, blind spot collision warning, lane keeping assist, and smart cruise control. Additionally, Hyundai is expected to introduce new materials and themes to give the interior a refreshed feel.

Pricing

The facelifted Hyundai Alcazar is expected to be priced at a premium over the current model. It’s likely to start around ₹17 lakh (ex-showroom). For reference, the current Alcazar is priced around ₹16.78 lakh. The slight increase in price is mostly because of the new features and updates which will make it stand apart from the old Alcazar models.

Summary

The all-new Hyundai Alcazar is finally launching on September 9th, 2024! And this facelifted version promises to elevate your driving experience with sleek design upgrades and new color options. These enhancements are mostly inspired by the latest Creta, including a bold new grille, sophisticated alloy wheels, and advanced tech like Level 2 ADAS, the Alcazar is set to redefine luxury in the SUV segment. Starting at around ₹17 lakh, the new Alcazar is ready to take the market by storm, competing with Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus.
