Hyundai Motors India on Tuesday reported total sales of 53,159 units in the month of February, registering a 14 percent-fall versus the same period last year. Exports fell nearly 11 percent to 9,109 units in February from 10,200 units in February 2021.
The Korean car manufacturer also reported a dip in domestic sales, which went down to 44,050 units versus 51,600 units on Y-o-Y basis.
The company acknowledged the impact of the ongoing semiconductor shortage but asserted it was exploring solutions that would enable smooth, timely deliveries to customers.
Launches lined up ahead for Hyundai include a revamped Creta, which may hit Indian roads in the second half of 2022. Reports suggest the vehicle will sport a new front grille with sleeker headlamps and a more aggressive stance.

Other upcoming Hyundai models for India include a facelifted Hyundai Venue and the new-gen Tucson that may be launched in the coming months.
