The 2022 facelift of Renault’s popular hatchback, Renault Kwid, has been launched at the starting price of ₹4.49 lakhs (ex-showroom). Ever since its launch in 2015, the Renault Kwid has robustly competed with Maruti Alto and Maruti S-Presso. The Kwid has made its unique mark in the Indian automotive space and the latest facelift looks to continue its success.

New variant: Renault Kwid RXL (O)
Renault has done a nice job of bridging the space between RXL and RXT variants by introducing the Kwid RXL (O). The new variant, RXL (O) offers front power windows, rear parcel shelf, ‘intermittent’ setting for the front wiper with auto wiping, a single-DIN stereo system with Bluetooth, USB, and AUX connectivity, along with two front speakers.
New Colour Options
In addition to current Moonlight Silver and Zanskar Blue monotone colours, the top variant, Renault Kwid Climber has been revised with new dual-tone colour options of Metal Mustard and Ice Cool White, both with a contrasting black roof. It has also been given white accents on the dashboard and new dual-tone flex wheels.
Added safety features
The most promising 2022 update of Renault Kwid is making driver-side seat belt pre-tensioner and load limiter standard features across variants. Some other safety features of Renault Kwid 2022 include dual front airbags, ABS and EBD, seat belt reminder, reverse camera, and reverse parking sensors.

2022 Renault Kwid Powertrains
The new generation of Renault Kwid retains its powertrains. An 800cc petrol engine producing 54 HP of power and 72 Nm of peak torque comes mated with 5-speed manual transmission. A 1.0L petrol engine churning out 68 hp of power and 91 Nm of peak torque, is paired with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.
