For a long time, Maruti Suzuki has been the most popular and best-selling car brand in India, thanks to its long lineup of cars and extensive dealership network. The Indo-Japanese auto giant keeps a firm hold on nearly 40 percent share of the entire Indian automobile market. Meanwhile, as Maruti cars prevail over other cars, there is internal competition among Maruti cars. Maruti Suzuki Fronx

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx has presented the most surprising highlight on the latest sales chart by taking the pole position for the first time. The Indo-Japanese crossover achieved this feat with sales of 21,461 units in February 2025, which is 51 percent better sales than the sales it did in the same month last year. Based on the iconic Maruti Baleno, the Maruti Fronx inherits most of its characteristics such as the powertrains, design elements, interiors, and even features. Moreover, since its price is not too different from that of the Maruti Baleno, especially in the lower variants, it presents itself as a compelling Maruti compact SUV.
Maruti has equipped Fronx with a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbocharged Boosterjet petrol engine. A 5-speed manual gearbox comes with both engines, while there is a 5-speed AMT for NA engine and a 6-speed AT for turbo engine. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

The longest-running Maruti car, the Maruti Wagon R has been one of the best-selling cars in India for decades. Playing a huge role in establishing Maruti as the market leader, the Wagon R has always been recognised as a unique hatchback, especially due to its tall-boy attire. This design makes it look both big and practical – a combination most fancy in an affordable hatchback. Along with affordability, the Wagon R offers pocket-friendly ownership with its excellent mileage and low maintenance cost. Moreover, like Dzire, Wagon R is a popular choice among cab companies, which greatly adds to its overall sales. As per the latest record, Wagon R sold 19,879 units in February 2025 and seeing a meagre 2 percent growth in its year-on-year sales, it stands as one of the best-selling Maruti cars as well as one of the best-selling cars.
Maruti has equipped Wagon R with two petrol units: a 1-litre petrol engine and a 1.2-litre petrol engine. While both engines are coupled with either a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT, an optional CNG kit is also available with the 1-litre engine, which comes with only manual Transmission. Maruti Suzuki Swift

The Maruti Swift has been one of the most radical successes of the Indian automobile industry and for the foreseeable future, it’s always going to be one of the best-selling cars. Sitting right above the Wagon R in the Maruti portfolio, the Swift comes in as the most appealing option for buyers looking for a family car, which delivers great mileage and yet cannot be called a budget car. This is because it’s the most spacious car in its segment, looks stylish, and drives smoothly. What comes as a bonus is the peppy performance, which at the price of the Swift is an appealing perk for driving enthusiasts. In February 2025, the Maruti Swift sold 16,269 units and with such sales, it registered a 24 percent growth in sales compared to the 13,165 units it sold in February 2024.
This Maruti Swift comes with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and 5-speed AMT. Moreover, it delivers a lucrative mileage of 24.8 km/l with MT and 25.75 km/l with AMT, and 32.85 km/kg with CNG variants.
