Mahindra will be adding the sibling of the very popular Mahindra Bolero in its cars line-up pretty soon. The new SUV is named Bolero Neo and is facelifted TUV300 with compliance to BS6 norms. What is the new Mahindra Bolero Neo?
As Mahindra Bolero Neo is the facelifted version of TUV300, some minor but various updates are visible. Revised front fascia reveals a fresh 6-vertical-slats chrome grille flanked by updated headlamps and LED DRLs. The SUV will sport some design cues of standard Bolero, i.e., squared-off wheel arches, boxy design, and clam-shell bonnet, and a black plastic strip running through the length. Three variants, N4, N8, and N10 will be offered and the top variant-N10 is expected to sport a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and automatic climate control. The car might have an engine start/stop feature as it is available in TUV300. Mahindra Bolero Neo will be the perfect fit for those looking for Bolero-like durability and ruggedness along with a comfortable ride.
Engine and Powertrain
Mahindra TUV300’s 1.5L 3-cylinder Diesel engine is carried forward in the Mahindra Bolero Neo, but upgraded to comply with BS6 norm. It will churn out 100bhp of power and 240 Nm of peak torque, and the power transmission will be done through a 5-Speed manual gearbox.
What is the price of the new Mahindra Bolero Neo?
As Mahindra Bolero Neo is likely to perch above the standard Bolero, the anticipated price is 9 – 12 Lakhs, and the SUV is expected to hit the market by August or September 2021. Mahindra has high hopes that the “Bolero” nameplate shall increase the sales of their compact SUV segment.
