Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) on Tuesday said it sold 1,64,056 cars in February this year, up more than 6 percent versus sales in the previous month.
Exports also saw a month-on-month growth of 34 percent to 24,021 units, the company added, marking an all-time exports high for the country’s largest car manufacturer.
Recent offerings from the stable of Maruti include the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno, which underlined the company’s commitment to holding its dominance in the premium hatchback segment. The revamped Baleno was launched late last month at a price range of Rs. 6.35 lakh-Rs. 9.49 lakh ex-showroom. The Baleno comes fitted with a 1.2-litre petrol engine, with the CVT transmission being dropped in favor of the affordable 5-speed AMT.
