A Step for Self-Confidence
Dancing has become an integral part of Prabhath’s personality and he is extremely proud of the progress he has made as a dancer. “I always had an inclination towards dance,” he shares, “but I never felt confident enough to explore it.” The push he was looking for came in the form of an innocent prank. “My friends gave my name for a dance event in school,” he elaborates, “and despite my hesitation, my performance went better than I expected.” A simple prank had now ignited a lifelong passion in Prabhath.
Prabhath’s journey as a dancer also helped him gain more self-confidence in himself as well as his abilities. “I was a chubby kid, which didn’t help with my confidence when I was in school,” he explains as he mentions that dancing allowed him to be himself and gain confidence on and off the stage. In college, he got the opportunity to join a dance club and participate in several dance competitions. Over multiple competitions, Prabhath honed his dance skills as a hip-hop freestyle dancer and took dancing from just a hobby to a passion.
Curiosity to Improve Capability
The desire to constantly improve his capability comes from his keenness and curiosity to explore further. “I’m constantly viewing new routines and dance styles to continuously improve my style as I continue to grow as a dancer,” Prabhath explains as he dives into his process. “Choreographing a dance routine actually starts with getting a song stuck in my head,” he explains, “I build the routine in my head and then execute it with hours of practice.”
This keenness bleeds into his professional life as well. “I’m always exploring new ways to do things, especially at work,” he elaborates about his process, “I always push my capability to solve problems I encounter and if I am able to make the most of my ability, it pushes me even more.” Whether it’s starting the day early to get ahead of all the data or collaborating with other dancers to practice new routines, Prabhath is always looking for a new challenge to improve himself.
Projecting Confidence
With the confidence to keep pushing and keep improving, Prabhath found the ideal workplace in Spinny. In the year he’s been at Spinny, his time at Spinny has been very rewarding while at the same time challenging as well. “I can describe working for Spinny in three ways,” he explains, “It is hectic, but never boring. It is challenging but drives me to be innovative. And it makes problem solving exciting.”
“Confidence in my abilities let’s me perform beyond my expectations”
Whether it is as a dancer or a business analyst, Prabhath has always believed in himself to be better than he expects. At Spinny, he has found an environment that rewards his curiosity every day. “Whenever I’m attempting anything new, I am confident that I will be able to execute it much better than I expect,” her shares, “It gives me a chance to project my confidence while developing myself as a person.”
