Kia has launched the all-new fourth-gen Carnival at a starting price of Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new Carnival MUV is available in a single fully loaded Limousine trim and will be imported as CBUs. It’s powered by a turbo diesel engine and offers a seven-seater layout. New 2024 Kia Carnival: Design & Dimensions
The new Kia Carnival is 5,155 mm long, 1,995 mm wide, 1,775 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 3,090 mm.
Compared to the relatively curvaceous design of the previous generation, the new Kia Carnival has adopted a boxier and sharper silhouette. It looks in line with Kia’s latest models including the Kia EV9. The front of the Carnival gets the brand’s signature ‘Tiger Nose’ black grille with chrome accents, vertically stacked 4-piece LED headlights, LED fog lamps, and long angular LED DRLs, which also double up as indicators. Meanwhile, the rear profile highlights the new aerodynamic 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the Carnival gets a dual-tone bumper and wraparound tail lamps connected via an LED bar. The premium Korean MUV is available in two colours — Glacier White Pearl and Fusion Black.
New 2024 Kia Carnival: Interior & Features
On the inside, the Carnival is available with two dual-tone theme interior options: Navy and Misty Gray, and Tuscan and Umber. Its 2+2+3 seating layout has second-row as captain seats. In terms of features, the Carnival offers connected 12.3-inch curved displays – one for the infotainment and the other for the digital instrument cluster, a 4-spoke steering wheel, two single-pane electric sunroofs, three-zone automatic climate control, electrically sliding doors, powered tailgate, 11-inch head-up display, 12-speaker BOSE sound system, wireless phone charger, 64 colour ambient light, and more. All the same, the top draw is the second-row captain seats which are powered, heated, ventilated, have an extendable leg support, and come with sliding and reclining functions.
The safety equipment of the Kia Carnival consists of eight airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC with hill assist control, all-wheel disc brakes, vehicle stability management, and 3-point seat belts in all rows with reminders. It also offers front, rear, and side parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and rear occupant alert. The Level-2 ADAS safety suite of the Carnival includes Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Front Collision Warning and Avoidance Assist, High Beam Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and more.
New 2024 Kia Carnival: Engine & Transmission
Like its predecessor, the new Carnival comes with a sole 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine. Although, in this model, this engine generates 195 PS power and 441 Nm peak torque. It comes paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox which transmits power to the front wheels.
