A New Design
While the Kia Carens introduces Kia’s new design philosophy to India. The tiger nose grille and aggressive design seen on Kia’s current range gives way to a more elegant, angular design philosophy. The tiger nose is no on the lower half of the bumper while the rest of the front is bold design accented by the sleek black bar and sharp headlights.
The rear of the Kia Carens adopts a more flowing design, inspired by the Kia Sportage in global markets. The new taillamp cluster features an angular design and is connected by a sleek red bar. The use of textured chrome outline on the bumper adds more flair to the rear of the Carens.
Smart Interior Packaging
A feature-packed interior is now a hallmark of a Kia car and the new 7 seater Carens does not disappoint. The 4.2-inch digital MID cluster is complemented by the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display. The interior cabin features an electric sunroof, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, 8-speaker Bose sound system, elevating the passenger experience.
Where most 7-seater cars usually compromise is with the space for passengers in the 2nd and 3rd rows. The Kia Carens boasts the longest wheelbase in the segment, which gives more space for passengers in all rows. Kia has managed to build a car that can be used practically and comfortably without much compromise by passengers in the 3rd row.
Focus on Safety
Safety has become a major priority for the Indian buyer and the Kia Carens will be the first mass-market car to feature 6 airbags as standard on all variants. While this is in preparation for the new safety regulations coming in 2023, the addition of these airbags is welcome and will be a key differentiator from its rivals.
Additionally, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist, Hill Assist Control, and Downhill Brake Assist are other premium safety features that are being offered as standard. At the price the Kia Carens is launching at, the focus on safety will ensure it’s popularity in the market.
