This makes the Kia Syros the first Kia car to score a perfect 5-star safety rating in either Bharat NCAP or Global NCAP. Launched in February 2025, the Kia Syros turned out to be an instant success for the Korean carmaker, and now, with a 5-Star BNCAP rating, it has made its package has become even more appealing, and one of the safest cars in India.

The Kia Syros is based on Kia’s K1 platform, which also underpins cars like the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Hyundai Exter, and Hyundai Aura. All the same, the Korean carmaker calls this platform the reinforced K1, and they claim it has been fortified with a lot of hot-stamped parts in the body shell. Kia says this platform has allowed them to accommodate their latest electricals and electronics to enhance overall safety.

Kia Syros Safety Features

The Kia Syros is equipped with many safety features, including electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Considering the points these cars scored, the Skoda Kylaq scored the best, and the Kia Syros was the second-best.
