The side and frontal collision test of XEV 9e presented positive results for adult protection. It performed exceptionally well in the frontal and side barrier tests, scoring 16/16 points in both assessments. Mahindra XEV 9e NCAP rating for adult occupancy was rated ‘Good’ as it provided superior protection to the drivers and passengers. XEV 9e delivered outstanding results for child occupant protection in the Bharat NCAP crash assessment. An overall 45/49 score was awarded 5 stars for the Mahindra XEV 9e safety rating. In the crash test, the car received a dynamic score of 24/24 and 12/12 for Child Restraint Systems (CRS). Child seats were locked securely in place with ISOFIX anchorages and side legs. It offered ample protection to the head and neck of the dummies, ensuring full protection of the young occupants.

1. Airbags

Airbags reduce the impact of a crash on all occupants, acting as a barrier between the car’s surface and people. The XEV 9e is equipped with six standard airbags, and upgraded variants have more. 

2. Child Lock

Child locks ensure the safety of young occupants in the rear seats. They eliminate the chance of accidentally opening the door while the car is moving. 

3. 360-degree Cameras

Mahindra XEV 9e has an all-around camera installed that assists the driver in analysing the car’s surroundings and then parking the car safely.

4. Seat Belt Warning

5. Overspeeding Alert

6. ISOFIX Anchorages

ISOFIX is an internationally recognised standard safety feature that ensures child safety. The anchorages allow proper installation of child car seats, making them immobile even when they experience high impact. 

7. Speed Sensor Door Lock

The car doors are equipped with sensors and lock the doors automatically when the car surpasses the desired speed limit. The possibility of severe accidents increases if the car doors accidentally open at a higher moving speed. 

8. Central Door Lock

The central door lock gives the driver easy one-point access to open and close all the car doors with a push of a button. 

9. Middle Rear Three-point Seatbelt

Many cars lack three-point seatbelts, compromising the safety of middle-rear seat passengers. However, the XEV 9e comes with these features and secures the passengers safely with seatbelts that go across their shoulders and laps. 

10. Automatic Emergency Warning

In sudden collisions or decelerations, an emergency warning is automatically activated to alert the bypassers and vehicles of potential danger. This allows them to avoid crashing into the cars and ensure everyone’s safety.

11. Forward Collision Warning

The forward collision warning is an alert that notifies the driver of potential dangers of its surrounding cars. The sensors detect potential crashes with the help of sensors and alert the driver immediately to take preventive measures to avoid accidents. 

12. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

The TPMS alerts drivers when the car wheels are over-inflated or under-inflated. This helps ensure proper wheel maintenance, which can compromise on-road safety. 

13. High-Beam Assist
