Swift is sold in different parts of the world, such as India, Japan, Europe, and Australia. The newest Maruti Suzuki Swift went under several NCAP tests conducted by most of the countries. The ratings indicated positive results in Europe and Japan, while the ratings crashed severely in Australia. However, it is noteworthy that India-built Swift hasn’t been tested yet and that the ratings listed are from international models, which may vary.

Maruti Suzuki Swift NCAP ratings are available for some countries, including Europe, Japan, and Australia. However, according to the car crash assessments conducted in these countries, the ratings are inconsistent. Euro NCAP gave Swift 3 stars, Japan NCAP 4 stars, and Australasian NCAP 1 star. These results, however, don’t provide an actual insight into the India-built Swift models because the manufacturers of the Swift models for New Zealand and Australia are different. 

The frontal offset crash test analysis confirms that the Maruti Suzuki Swift provided good protection to the front passenger and driver’s neck and head region. However, the impact highly affected the driver’s chest, and protection of its lower legs was minimal. Also, during a full-width barrier front crash, the protection was rated ‘adequate’ for the driver’s chest and the passenger’s neck and head area. However, the front passenger’s chest was severely affected.

The child occupant protection test ensures that the safety of younger occupants in the car is not neglected. The Europe NCAP gave an average rating of 3 stars for Swift NCAP rating. The car earned 29.49 points in this category, amounting to approx 59% score for its safety. 

The Maruti Suzuki safety rating for children’s safety was determined after evaluating the car’s performance based on frontal crash and side crash assessment. The frontal crash analysis rated head and neck protection  ‘adequate to poor’ for a 10-year-aged dummy and ‘poor’ for a 6-year-aged dummy. However, after the side crash, the older dummy received a ‘weak to good’ rating, and the younger one got a ‘poor’ rating.
