India’s largest carmaker -Maruti Suzuki will be bringing six new cars to the Indian market in the coming three months. Maruti is known for its mileage churning and trendy cars, although a bit low on the safety side, it is now focusing on improving the safety of its cars. The new models lined up for launch are:
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Facelift
Maruti’s popular MUV – Ertiga was recently caught testing on the public roads. According to the spy shots there are minor changes in the aesthetics of the car. While the engine is likely to be unchanged we can expect an offering of a new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. In addition to this, an updated feature to look out for is the new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Maruti Suzuki XL6
Maruti Suzuki’s premium multi purpose vehicle gained traction due to its classy and premium design. The new XL6 will directly compete with the stylish and premium Kia Carens and will bring on more features like larger alloy wheels, minor facelift, updated upholstery along with a 6, 7 seater configuration. The XL 6 is touted to be launched sometime in April this year.
All-new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
The update on the Vitara Brezza has been due for sometime and going by reports, there will be major changes to the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Spy shots have revealed the new Breza to be nothing like the current version. The front and rear fascia have been completely revamped, along with major overhauling of the interior. Features like HUD, improved sheet metal and increase in safety measures will be seen on the New Vitara Brezza which is expected by June this year.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG
Maruti Suzuki is getting ready to offer a CNG variant of the premium hatchback. The Indo-Japanese manufacturer wishes to expand its portfolio via Nexa Line with the Baleno being its first line to gain the technology. The premium hatchback will get factory fitted CNG, which might make it the first car to use the technology with 1.2 litre K12N petrol engine. The powertrain currently produces 90 PS maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque at 4,400 rpm.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis
Maruti Suzuki premium entry level hatchback – Ignis might get an engine makeover. According to reports the Ignis could feature a new and powerful 1.2 litre, 90 hp engine under its hood.
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso
Like the Ignis, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso too will feature an engine update. The engine in question will be Maruti’s most fuel efficient offering, the K10C. Currently the micro SUV is powered by a 68hp, 1.0-litre K10B petrol engine, S-Presso could become more fuel efficient with the 67hp, 1.0-litre K10C petrol engine that has also made the Maruti Suzuki Celerio the most fuel efficient car in the country.
