Spinny started out with a tiny spark. Our founders, Niraj and Ramanshu, were casually remarking on how many of their friends had bought used cars over cups of coffee at IIT-Delhi’s favorite hangout. The idea intrigued them. They shared their idea with Mohit and Ganesh, who also got equally interested in the used car industry.
This simple conversation soon turned out to be the first chapter in Spinny’s story and just like that, one little private moment led to a cascade of events that got Spinny where it is today.
From the chilly February days of 2015 when they started working at home, going to mechanics and learning more about the car industry, to starting operations in May 2015 and going live in June – it has certainly been a rollercoaster ride! And now that we are in Bengaluru, the ride has definitely become a whole lot more exciting.
We started operations in Delhi and NCR in June 2015. In a short span of 4 months, the company has gone from strength to strength and the experience has been nothing but exhilarating. In those initial months, Spinny has inspected more than 2800 cars and listed more than 900 cars on the site. There has been an incredible response to our services and local support has been positively overwhelming.
