It’s only been a few weeks since Maruti revealed the new-gen Swift. Now Maruti Suzuki is gearing up again to launch its third-gen Dzire in November. Over the past few months, spy shots and test mules have been spied on multiple occasions. Sources say that Maruti will launch the new-gen Dzire in November. Based on the leaked images and spy shots, we can tell that the Maruti Suzuki Dzire will have a completely refreshed appeal in terms of design, emitting an aura of a rather premium vehicle. Notably, it will feature a segment-first electric sunroof, adding a touch of luxury to its offerings. Here’s what we can look forward to
- Will be powered by the 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z-series engine that has been used in the newly launched Swift
- Redesigned Bonnet and new set of Alloy wheels
- Redesigned fog lamps, along with a chunky gloss black trim connecting the headlamps and a chrome strip at the bottom.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Exterior
The new Dzire has a completely refreshed exterior. Starting with its large front grille with horizontal slats and sharp LED headlamps. The rear gets clear lens wraparound tail lights with Y-shaped internals and a chrome strip across the tailgate. The boot lid includes a spoiler-like hump, and the rear bumper is styled with subtle contouring elements. These sharp features make the new Dzire look much more elegant as compared to the old model. The side profile showcases a bold shoulder line, metallic-finished window sills, and fresh dual-tone alloy wheels. The higher variants are said to get diamond cut alloy wheels. Spy shots also reveal that the Dzire will feature a single-panel sunroof.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Interior
Talking about the interiors, the shots confirm that it will use the same overall layout as the Swift and Baleno. The upholstery is going to be lighter in shade with a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen system, automatic climate control, analog instrument cluster and a new 3-spoke steering wheel. Some reports suggest that the new Dzire could also get ADAS, in the higher variants. Other features include ORVMs with integrated turn signals, automatic climate control and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Lower variants will offer a 7-inch touchscreen unit.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Powertrain
Under the hood, the new Dzire will house the 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z-series naturally aspirated petrol engine, borrowed from the Swift. This engine delivers 82.12 PS and 111.7 Nm of peak torque. Like the Swift, the new Dzire will come with two transmission choices: a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. Maruti Suzuki also plans to introduce a CNG variant shortly after launch.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Competitors
The Maruti Dzire will compete with compact sedans like the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor.
