June started out with a flurry of exciting car launches that you can catch up with on this Spinny Post. In our latest edition, we feature the best-selling cars in India as well as Maruti’s newest flagship car.
The monsoons have arrived, bringing much-needed respite from the summer heat. With this in mind, we’ve also curated a helpful guide with tips on how to keep you and your car safe in the rains.
Maruti Suzuki Invicto: A Flagship for a Premium Audience

Maruti Suzuki is a name that’s always been associated with the budget segment, despite their best efforts to break into the premium segment. The Maruti Invicto is the Indian carmaker’s latest attempt at offering its loyal customers a premium upgrade path. The Invicto will be a three-row MUV based on the recently launched Toyota Innova Hycross. Maruti’s new flagship will feature a few cosmetic changes to differentiate it from its Toyota sibling, but the body and technical details will be similar to Toyota’s MUV. This includes a hybrid powertrain, premium interiors, and ADAS tech. Given the success of previous Toyota-Maruti collaborations, the Invicto is expected to be received favourably by customers.
India’s Favourite Cars

May sales numbers are in, and Indian buyers have voted with their wallets (or bank accounts)! Car sales have been growing throughout 2023, indicating a much healthier car market with robust demand for new vehicles. It helps that car manufacturers are launching new cars to revive interest and buyers are responding favourably. The industry has experienced a remarkable 13% growth, with the sales of the top 10 selling cars surpassing 10,000 units. Maruti Suzuki maintained its lead, with the Maruti Baleno, Swift, and Wagon R taking the top three spots, and a total of seven cars featuring in the top 10. Meanwhile, two Tata cars and one Hyundai car took the remaining spots. Check out the complete list using the link below.
