Tata Motors sold 73,875 vehicles in the domestic market in February this year, registering a growth of 27 percent over 58,366 units sold in last month.
In the passenger car segment the company registered sales of 39,981 units, a jump of 47 percent over the same period last year.
The electric vehicle segment served the company especially well, with a 478 percent rise in sales to 39,981 units in sales versus 492 units sold in February 2021.
Tata Motors has experienced success in recent times with the Nexon hitting cumulative sales of 300,000 units last month. The manufacturer marked the event with the launch of four new variants in the top trims of the compact SUV.
The company last month also unveiled the Kaziranga Edition for its line-up of SUVs, including Tata Punch, Tata Harrier, Tata Safari and Tata Nexon. The new edition came primarily with revamped exteriors and interiors and some additional features.
The new edition of Tata Punch, for example, gets Tata’s iRA connected car tech and an air purifier while the Tata Nexon gets ventilated seats, auto-dimming IRVMs and an air purifier in the Kaziranga Edition.
