Toyota Land Cruiser
It is big, it is burly and it is coming to India. Toyota announced the Toyota Land Cruiser for the Indian market sometime in May last year. However, it will still be some time before the Land Cruiser makes its mark on Indian shores. The Land Cruiser will be sold in India as a CBU meaning it will be imported and carry a hefty price tag of Rs. 1.5 crores. The Land Cruiser is primarily built for off-roading and is a luxury SUV that will rival the likes of Land Rover SUVs and the Mercedes GLS.
The Toyota Land Cruiser is an SUV that loves to make a statement with its dominating size and there are few that can come close to its presence. The Land Cruiser hasn’t let go of its boxy design, the rectangular grille or the squared and flared wheel arches. The rear too reminisces the angles and lines of the design heritage and gives the Land Cruiser a distinct look.
The interior design will be loaded with features like a large entertainment system, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats among many. The Land Cruiser is expected to have 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol churning 415PS/650Nm and 309PS/700Nm 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engines mated to 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
