Renault Kwid Expert Review

3.5

The Renault Kwid is an impressive car with all the options it provides to the consumer. Due to no major changes in the last few years, it might not be able to pose a threat to the segment leaders like the Alto 800 and the Alto K10, but it is still a very good car in almost every way. It still looks better than the competition despite no major visible changes in the recent past. The AMT is refined and does not lag unlike many other automated manual gearboxes available in the entry-level hatchbacks. It is a perfect car to begin your driving journey before you feel the need to upgrade or move on to a bigger vehicle.

Verdict

The Renault Kwid might be a small car, but it is, arguably, the best entry-level hatchback one can buy in the market. Even though it has not received any major upgrades in the last four years, it still stays ahead of the competition majorly because of the way it looks. This segment is more about the outside, than what’s under the hood. It has enough safety features to ensure that you stay as far away from harm as possible on the roads. Both the engines have enough power and torque to happily cruise through the city traffic every day. The Kwid offers good balance between driving pleasure and enough control to squeeze through tight spaces thanks to its small size. For most of the consumers, it is an ideal car to start your journey on four wheels with.

Who should buy a Renault Kwid

If you have recently learnt how to drive or are looking for a car for your daily chores that also does not look half as boring, the Renault Kwid is the car for you. This is a perfect car to hone your skills before you eventually move to a higher segment. This can be your primary car that you use around town without worrying about reliability, looking ugly, or downmarket in any way. Considering the competition, the Kwid is the more complete package with extra points for its looks and safety features.
