The Tata Nexon EV is a compact electric SUV that competes in the rapidly growing EV segment in India. In fact, back in late 2019 when it was first introduced, the Nexon EV was among the very first long range electric vehicles to be introduced in the Indian market. Over time, and in a rapid manner, it has gone on to cement its position as the highest selling electric vehicle in the Indian market because of its combination of performance, utility, and price. In terms of competition, the Nexon EV has only one direct rival in its price bracket and that is the Mahindra XUV400. However, as the EV market is sparsely populated at the moment, it also indirectly competes against more expensive options like the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric. The Nexon EV will then appeal to those who are looking to upgrade their family car to an EV, and want a comfortable, safe, good-looking and feature-rich SUV, with the kicker being that it is a fully developed and manufactured in India product.

"The Nexon EV is a good car, but the real-world range is slightly less than advertised. The charging infrastructure in my area is still developing, which can be a bit inconvenient. However, the driving experience is smooth and enjoyable."
"While the Nexon EV is a good entry into the electric market, it does have its drawbacks. The range is adequate for city use but not for longer trips. Also, the higher initial cost can be a deterrent. However, the build quality and features are commendable."
